Circle Back Around

Do you ever get that feeling in life where you are just going around in circles and WOW, doesn't this all look familiar? That's where I am today. Things seem like a weird form of deja vu and if you are a Matrix fan you know what that means. ;) Yes, programs are being reset everywhere...

Anyhow in an attempt to shake off the weirdness I have some update pics for you!

I FINALLY finished my last project. I love La D Da patterns but sometimes they can be more complicated than they look. This was one of them. I need to keep this in mind when choosing to work on these...NOTE TO SELF not as easy as it looks. ;)

I think it turned out pretty good, if I do say so. ;) I made some small changes adding backstitching to some parts cuz they needed it in my opinion. :D But overall it's a fun and funky project. The yellow fabric looks great with it. Now to find some great fabric to finish it off.

Oh and here is my Angel project all framed:

Greg found this frame on sale. I described what I wanted and dang if he didn't find it. He's great that way. :D I gave it to my sister-in-law (she's a nurse) and she seemed to love it. She's a stitcher too, but never has time for it. So I was glad I could do something nice for her, she's a great lady. :)

NEXT! Greg bought me this project some time ago, I had lusted after it and it went on sale so he got it for me.

I don't normally stitch these type of kits, but this one really screamed at me to do it. I LOVED the colors, the theme and the fabrics. And like I NEED one more pillow? NO...but it's just so fantastic. It was fun to stitch, though I couldn't use a hoop which was weird. But it was easy and it turned out great! This is an "in progress" pic, I actually finished it last night. I'll post a completed pic later. :D

I will make my own pillow for this to wrap around, I have some nice creamy cotton fabric that will give it just the right look. I would recommed these kits if you are looking for something easy and decorative or for a gift. They are super fast and beautifully made, the threads are high quality and the kit includes the needle and a button to finish it off. They come in all types of styles which made it hard to choose one. Oh and it all comes in an nice zipper bag so at the end you have another storage bag, which we can always use. :D They are a bit pricey, but considering you don't have to do anything but stitch it makes it worth it. :D

Next I'm working on this:

I changed all the colors, which should be interesting. LOL I will show pics as soon as I get some more done.

So now I need to go off and read some blogs. And work, work is good too. LOL Have a great week!

Wonderful finishes and projects, you've been very busy. The frame looks great with Guide the Hands, how lucky that he found it. Looking forward to seeing what you are going to do with your new one Mom.

Good heavens, Kim, you've been a busy stitcher!! Love your finishes and your current project - can't wait to see your color choices.

La-D-Da always takes me longer than I expect, too. Glad I'm not the only one. ;) Love that fabric you stitched on - another of your custom dye-jobs?

I love the La-D-Da design (or any La-D-Da design, for that matter)! You've been quite a busy little bee, haven't you? You may be running around in circles, but it appears to me you're doing it with needle and thread in hand :o)

Great finishes! I love the La-D-Da pattern, I have that on my wishlist to buy someday in the not to distant future :) I like the fabric you used for it, it looks very nice with it.

I want to stitch the Bent Creek Mom one as well, can’t wait to see your progress. You’ve been busy :D

Beautiful finishes - you've been busy! The La-D-Da is very pretty. Just love how bright and cheery it looks. Any ideas as to what you're going to do with it?

Looking forward to seeing the new project grow. :)

Oh, lovely projects! The La-D-Da is lovely (great fabric that adds even more beauty to the design)and the mother design is so beautiful too! I love the colours in it, and I wonder what changes you have brought (the best part in stitching!).
I love the frame you have found for the angel too! I'm looking for such frames for three of my projects actually, but they're quite pricy...
Well, it's great to see all your new stitching. Stop running with your needle and thread: you might get hurt.
Hugs!
Lili

LOVE the fabric you used for the La D Da design; I'm assuming that you dyed it yourself? The guiding hands project turned out perfectly in that frame. We still need to do a trade for that chart, if you're still up for it. And what a lovely kit Greg bought for you. It stitched up quite nicely!

Hi Kim, great projects! The La D Da was worth all the complications- it's beautiful. Who is the designer on the cute Mom piece?
